Aligning Research with Health System and Societal Needs

GERI's Executive Director Associate Professor Ding Yew Yoong shared his expertise at a panel discussion at the SCRI Clinical Trials Symposium 2026.
Associate Professor Ding Yew Yoong (Executive Director, GERI) served as a panellist at the Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) Clinical Trials Symposium 2026, where discussions centred on how clinical research can be better aligned with health system and societal needs.
Associate Professor Ding drew on his expertise in ageing and health services research to explore how clinical trials can generate evidence that is not only scientifically rigorous, but also translates to tangible benefits for patients, healthcare systems, and policy decision-making.
The symposium was convened by SCRI as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, bringing together experts and stakeholders from across the clinical research community to advance the future of clinical trials.
