19 September 2025
GERI was part of NTUC Health’s launch of their new Active Ageing Centre in Bukit Panjang on 19 Sep, where they announced a research partnership with us to tackle nutritional challenges faced by socially isolated older adults.

In a CNA news story, Dr Zoe Lim, GERI’s Research Fellow and Principal Investigator for the study, shared potential solutions including working with supermarkets to adjust food portion sizes for older adults living alone, and co-developing more reliable ways for them to access nutrition information.
The collaborative research project, which ultimately aims to develop community-based interventions that fit this vulnerable group’s real-world circumstances and preferences, also involves partners including the Health Promotion Board, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and the Agency for Integrated Care.
