Dr Pang specialises in exercise and muscle physiology research across the adult lifespan. With a passion for understanding human physiology, Dr Pang strives to apply this knowledge to research and real-world implementation.
Dr Pang received his PhD in Exercise Physiology from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as a Nanyang President’s Graduate scholar. During his PhD candidature, he secured a six-figure research grant from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Academic Research Fund (AcRF) to fund his doctoral projects in the fields of nutrition and muscle preservation in both young and older adults.
At GERI, Dr Pang’s interests lie broadly in geriatric human research. This has culminated in a list of academic publications and conference presentations involving – frailty, sarcopenia, osteoporosis, obesity, physical function, malnutrition and weight loss – among others, reflecting his enthusiasm for understanding and applying physiological knowledge.
