Associate Professor Ng is currently Senior Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Singapore General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital. He is also Associate Professor and the Associate Dean, Student Affairs at the Duke-NUS Medical School.
He is further appointed as a Senior Consultant in Rehabilitation (PTPS), by the Ministry of Health in the Hospital Services Division and Co-Leads the National One-Rehabilitation Framework, which aims to improves outcomes in Rehabilitation in Persons with Disability.
He is active in many fields of research with a specific interest in neurorehabilitation, ageing, and mobility in rehabilitation and population health. He also serves as Senior Research Scientist at the Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) in SingHealth. Finally, he is involved in many disability and rehabilitation support groups and societies. He served as a Board Member at SPD previously and is Chairman, Rehabilitation Task Force at the Singapore Cancer Society. He advocates strongly for the Active Ageing movement and improving the quality of life of older persons and disabled in society.
