Dr Lim is a health services researcher specialising in qualitative work. She has worked across diverse settings (academia, NGOs, health systems, global alliances) in Singapore, the UK, Malaysia, and Malawi.
She has led or co-led projects using:

Population health approach to aged care and long-term care services
Methodological innovations to enhance research translation, specifically in community-based participatory research (CBPR), rapid qualitative research and implementation-effectiveness hybrid trials
Her research is also shaped by her varied life experiences. Living with chronic pain gives her deep understanding about functional limitations. She believes scientific knowledge must be applied with humanistic values such as empathy, ethics and equity. Her fluency in local languages and training in counselling psychology facilitate meaningful connection with, and the use of a trauma-informed approach in, vulnerable populations. Prior to a research career, she was a clinical pharmacist.
