Feasibility of Screen, Holistic Assessment, Reach, and Engagement (SHARE) Programme for Family Caregivers of People with Dementia receiving home-based caregiving
Completed
Objective
Prior research findings indicate that family caregivers of people with dementia (PwD) requiring hospitalisation often suffer from poor health due to prolonged demands and complexity of their caregiving role. Hence, the study aims to explore the feasibility of a multicomponent programme known as SHARE (Screen, Holistic Assessment, Reach, and Engagement) for family caregivers of PwD receiving home-based caregiving. The SHARE programme is designed to provide tailored caregiving support services with focuses on the psycho-socio-emotional aspects of caregiving, and to link family caregivers to community resources in order to delay or prevent institutionalisation of the PwD.
