Hearing Loss and Risk of Mild Cognitive Impairment and Dementia
Completed
Objective
Our study found that hearing loss is independently associated with prevalent dementia and incident MCI or dementia in older adults aged 55 years and above in Singapore. (Dement Geriatr Cogn Dosord. 2017;43(5-6):259-68.). The next phase of the project will estimate the prevalence of hearing loss and mild cognitive impairment as well as to establish the relationship between the two factors amongst community-dwelling older adults.
